Hifiman Ananda Stealth Open Back Planar Magnetic Headphone

Hifiman Ananda Stealth planar magnetic, over ear, open back headphone. These launched in 2022 at a much higher price and are well loved due to their warmer tuning, but thanks to a significant drop in price in 2025, these are an excellent buy while they remain available. We feel they set a new bar for performance / value near this price. 

Stealth Magnet Technology

By implementing Hifiman's Neo Supernano Diaphragm, Ananda Stealth uses a lightweight, ultra fine planar driver to combine sonic agility and a higher power sensitivity than previous models, making them easier to drive and enjoy. Use Ananda Stealth with desktop amps, portable music players and high power compact dongle dacs.

Hifiman's advanced magnet design, Stealth, is used here and is much more acoustically transparent than previous headphone generations. By smoothing the shape of the magnets, Hifiman has dramatically reduced wave diffraction turbulence that degrades the integrity of the sound waves. The reduced distortion produces purer sonic output that is accurate and full-range. 

Large Oval Ear Cups for Comfort

Ananda Stealth uses Hifiman's distinctive large oval ear cup shape, providing ample room for the ear, as well as a wide soft head strap. These 2 design elements add up to outstanding long wear comfort and make the headphone a joy to use. The ear pads and open design help reduce heat build up for improved comfort, especially during summer.

Hifiman Ananda Stealth vs Edition XS

The Ananda Stealth is an upgrade. You receive an improved headband with better comfort, improved detail across the highs, improved clarity and more detail in the sub bass. If it is in the budget, we suggest Ananda Stealth.

Hifiman Ananda Stealth vs Ananda Nano

Ananda Nano has improved clarity, separation. 

Ananda Nano has clearer treble, detail in the highs.

However... these two headphones are tuned differently, so there is no blanket recommendation. Ananda Stealth is warmer, with more emphasis in the bass & sub bass.

What to buy, Ananda Nano or Ananda Stealth?

We suggest buying based on your listening and music preferences, since some may prefer the clarity and speed of the Nano while others will prefer the warmth and 'fullness' of the Stealth.
